BeezGuard

Built for beekeepers who can't watch every hive all day

BeezGuard turns your phone camera into a second pair of eyes at the hive, so problems get spotted while they're still small.

Why we built it

Varroa mites, wasps, hornets and hive beetles destroy thousands of colonies every year. Most of that damage starts quietly: a few mites on a drone frame, one hornet patrolling the entrance. By the time it's obvious, it's often too late.

Checking for these threats by eye is slow, and mites are easy to miss. We trained BeezGuard on images of real hives so it can do the tedious counting for you, frame by frame and second by second of video.

Who it's for

Hobby beekeepers with a few hives in the garden, commercial operators managing hundreds, and researchers and students studying colony health.

What it isn't

BeezGuard is a monitoring aid, not a replacement for a hands-on inspection or a bee inspector's diagnosis. Detections can be wrong, especially in poor light, so always confirm before you treat.
